Stamatis Kyriakos – My identity as an LGBTQ person

Stamatis Kiriakos

Stamatis Kiriakos, a social worker by profession, is also a passionate artist who enjoys painting and participating in self-organized theater workshops. He is a compassionate person who is always willing to lend a helping hand to others, both through his professional work and volunteer work with NGOs that support vulnerable communities. Additionally, he works with the elderly population and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him.

My identity as an LGBTQ person

Stamatis Kyriakos presents the reality of a gay man through his autobiographical work. He aims to show that his daily life is no different from others and believes it is crucial to express LGBTQI+ issues through his art. He strongly believes that many LGBTQI+ individuals face stigmatization, discrimination, and unequal opportunities in both their socio-economic life and love life. Stamatis courageously opens up a dialogue with those willing to speak openly about the issues facing the LGBTQI+ community, including viewers of his artwork. He recognizes the difficulty of freely expressing one’s sexuality or gender identity and hopes to promote greater acceptance and understanding through his work.
