Art is Us Kick off meeting

The Art is Us Project has started and the virtual kick – off meeting took place on 28th of April (Day 1) and 5th of May (Day 2), with the participation of all project partners:

ZAVOD APIS (Slovenia), a socially engaged institute with a vision to promote social inclusion, intercultural dialogue and respect for human rights through different artistic and educational mediums such as digital storytelling, audiovisual production and music.

JKPeV (Germany), a non-governmental institution with the aim of providing opportunities for young people to develop and use their soft & professional skills and stimulate their creativity & entrepreneurial skills through non-formal learning methods.

Melting Pro (Italy), an organisation founded by seven women with a shared vision: a more cohesive society and increased wellbeing for people through participation in culture and the arts.

AAN (Greece), a non-governmental association with a great experience on mentoring and guiding professionals working in the intercultural educational system as well as the humanitarian field, offering the chance to individuals in organizing artistic and social events.

ReadLab (Greece), a research institution that aims to generate positive social and sustainable impact through innovation by delivering high-quality research, training and ICT services to local, national, European and international levels.

CPIP (Romania), a non-governmental organization committed to mainstreaming the principle of equal opportunities for all citizens in the public policies and associated practices, as an integral part of democratization and the creation of an open society, to re-define the status of community co-production in all areas related to lifelong learning.

During the meeting, the concept of Art is Us was presented to define the core idea, the main objectives and the expected results of the project. In addition, all partners had the opportunity to present their organisations and set the goals for the forthcoming activities.

A fruitful collaboration is being initiated to implement this inspiring project, by combining the expertise of all consortium partners in their respective fields with a view to use the transformative power of culture for community regeneration.
