Bucha<\/strong><\/p>\n

The work is done from a photograph of my daughter Zoia. The window through which I feel fear, uncertainty, complete helplessness in the face of events. The window through which it is scary to look: constant explosions, air raids, fluttering fire. The painting expresses my state, feelings, concern for my family and my homeland. We found ourselves under occupation in the cold, without electricity, communication, food, medicines, in a total humanitarian catastrophe. Only after 2 weeks that we, with children, husband and elderly mother, spent in the basement, were we able to escape from this horror. Many people died. Among them was our relative, an eighteen-year-old boy, our friends. We saw corpses, completely bullet-ridden cars with passengers, including children. Destroyed houses, destroyed streets. This terrible crime does not make sense to me, this war has forever changed us, as well as our attitudes and our lives.<\/p>\n

The second painting radiates warmth, fresh air, and hope. For me, it is a symbol of peace and tranquility. Beautiful Slovenia, our friends, and complete strangers who helped us a lot. These two paintings are like a comparison of how the world, human destiny, and life can change in such a short time. This painting speaks about how families are separated, relationships change, and how difficult it is to find an inner source to live on because you are still mentally there. This painting also speaks about how, once you see a sign through the window, everything will be okay, that our country will win, and the family will be reunited again.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
